If yes, only the 9YG-1.0C can do this — the hammer-claw head collects standing corn, sorghum and millet directly. If you only bale windrowed residue (paddy, wheat, pulse), the lighter 9YG-1.0 saves 558 kg of tractor load and costs less.

How heavy are the bales from a compact round baler?
Bale weight depends on residue type and density setting. At the upper density limit (200 kg/m³), the 9YG-1.0 produces bales of roughly 200–300 kg on paddy straw and up to 400 kg on wetter wheat straw. The 9YG-1.0C, with its wider 1250 mm chamber, reaches similar weights on standing-stalk material.
Can the 9YG-1.0C really bale standing corn stalks without windrowing?
Yes. The 20-claw hammer head shreds standing corn, sorghum and millet stalks at the base, feeds the material through the auger-roller compound throat and compresses it in the 16-roller chamber — all in a single tractor pass. This eliminates the separate windrowing step, cutting per-acre collection cost roughly in half.
What is the difference between a compact and a large round baler?
